Birding Basics: Ramble Tour

Located along the Atlantic Flyway, Central Park welcomes more than 210 migrating bird species each year.

Learn the basics of bird identification while exploring the Ramble, a vibrant woodland habitat that supports a variety of wildlife in Central Park. Our Conservancy guides will teach you helpful tips for spotting and identifying birds. Bring your own binoculars or borrow a pair from our tour guides.

Ensuring the health and safety of our guests, staff, and the public is our top priority. Central Park Conservancy programs follow recommended guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, New York State, and New York City.

At this time, the Conservancy does not require visitors to wear masks during the tour. However, all participants should continue to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms and stay home if they feel unwell.
