Great Central Park Hike (Tour)

Calling all tree lovers and huggers, outdoorsy folks, and environmentalists! Join the Conservancy as we embark on a top-to-bottom hike through Central Park.

Reconnect with the greenspaces we depend on by lacing up your hiking boots, hitting the trails, and walking the entire length of Central Park!

On this 4.5-mile trek, Conservancy guides will lead us from 110th Street to 59th Street, providing architectural, ecological, and historical insights along the way. They’ll also highlight the environmental benefits of public parks and share information on the Indigenous communities that used to inhabit Manhattan.

Bring your own lunch and plenty of water for a mid-hike picnic (might we suggest packing your meal and beverage in reusable containers?). And don’t forget an enthusiastic mindset—it’s going to be an adventure you won’t soon forget.

Ensuring the health and safety of guests, staff, and the public is our top priority. Central Park Conservancy programs follow recommended guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, New York State, and New York City.

At this time, the Conservancy does not require visitors to wear masks during the tour. However, all participants should continue to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms and stay home if they feel unwell.

Contact [email protected] if you need to request a raincheck for a future program due to illness or exposure to COVID-19.
