Chinese Fringetree

The Chinese fringetree provides spectacularly fragrant, white blooms in late spring to early summer, and bright yellow leaves in the fall. The Chinese fringetree can be found in Shakespeare Garden and in the Dene landscape, just north of Billy Johnson Playground.

    2-4 inches opposite, oval, turn yellow in the fall

    Small, ripen from green to blue or purple, popular with birds

    White, narrow, strap-like

    Gray with ridges
