Peony

The peony has large blooms that can reach up to six inches in diameter. They range in color from red to white or yellow, and are sometimes fragrant. Their leaves are compound and deeply lobed. Peonies are among the longest-lived perennials; those in the Conservatory Garden's South Garden were originally planted in the late 1930s.
