Spanish bluebell, otherwise known as the wood hyacinth, is a bulbous perennial native to Spain, Portugal and northwest Africa. Each flower stem contains 12 or more pendulous, bell-shaped, bluish lavender flowers. At East 69th Street, Spanish bluebells were generously donated by the Garden Club of America in 2012.
