Peace and Quiet With a Dose of History

Enjoy a sliver of the Park’s natural splendor.

When Central Park designers Fredrick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux set out to create a great public space, they wanted to bring nature into the cement City to give New Yorkers a place for reflection, relaxation, and appreciation.

Enjoy a sliver of the natural splendor that Central Park has to offer, strolling through tall stands of trees up the west side. The tranquility begins at Strawberry Fields, a memorial for peace activist and music legend, John Lennon.

This tour is roughly a mile and should take about 60 minutes to complete.
