The North Woods Tour

Escape the chaos of New York City in Central Park’s North Woods, an idyllic woodland oasis showcasing cascades, streams, and thriving greenery.

The North Woods is Central Park’s largest woodland. It spans 40 acres, offering a forest retreat in the middle of New York City to the benefit of wildlife and human visitors alike. Join Central Park Conservatory guides as we explore the tumbling waterfalls, rustic bridges, and picturesque pools this area has to offer.

Recommended for nature lovers, bird enthusiasts, hikers, and those who like to be active outdoors.

At this time, the Conservancy does not require visitors to wear masks during the tour. However, all participants should continue to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms and stay home if they feel unwell.
