Balcony Bridge

Balcony Bridge supports the West Drive across an inlet connecting the Lake with Naturalists' Walk. On the east side of the bridge, benches inside balconies offer a gorgeous view over the Lake to the City skyline beyond. The bridge itself is best viewed from the Ramble, or from a rowboat on the Lake.

When Balcony Bridge was built, this western lobe of the Lake was the Ladies Pond, a female-only area for skating without chaperones. It was later filled in during the 1930s.
