Ornamental Onion

While this plant's bulbs may resemble onions, we plant them for their distinct springtime flowers. The ornamental onion plant bears large, rounded flower heads up to 4 inches across with a multitude of star-shaped lilac-pink flowers, creating a bust of bloom at the peak of its stem. It's a very attractive flower to butterflies.
