Smooth Sumac

One of the easiest shrubs to identify throughout the year, the smooth sumac produces tiny, green flowers, densely clustered, in the spring. Later, it produces heavy bunches of edible crimson berries that remain throughout the winter. At the North Meadow, the smooth sumac can be found in the Meadow's woodlands slope.
