Central Park Conservancy and NewYork-Presbyterian Partner to Help New Yorkers Live Healthier Lives

The two iconic New York institutions will team up to promote health and wellness in New York City.

NEW YORK, NY (September 22, 2025) — The Central Park Conservancy, the nonprofit organization and civic institution responsible for managing Central Park, and NewYork-Presbyterian, one of the nation’s leading healthcare systems, announced today a partnership to promote healthy habits through community based-initiatives and health and wellness experiences.

NewYork-Presbyterian will work with the Central Park Conservancy to create community events that encourage New Yorkers to get outside and stay active. The organizations will also partner to provide health and wellness content and education from NewYork-Presbyterian’s world-class experts, bringing clinical expertise directly to our communities.

“Central Park is among the most iconic and beloved locations in all of New York City,” said Devika Mathrani, chief marketing and communications officer at NewYork-Presbyterian. “It’s a place that has inspired generations of New Yorkers to find their path to wellness, whether along the numerous bike and running trails or simply taking a scenic stroll off the beaten path to enjoy nature. We’re proud to partner with the Central Park Conservancy to help the communities we serve continue to build healthy habits and feel their best.”

“Central Park is New York City’s backyard, a place where people come to recharge, be active, and enjoy nature,” said Betsy Smith, president and chief executive officer of the Central Park Conservancy. “We are grateful to NewYork-Presbyterian for partnering with us in support of the Conservancy’s long-term care of this extraordinary landscape. With their expertise in health, we can now provide even more wellness opportunities in a Park that already offers so much, ensuring that Central Park continues to benefit New Yorkers for generations to come.”

The partnership will offer events throughout the year in Central Park locations, including curated health and wellness classes and preventative screenings.
