Hidden History: Women in Central Park Tour

Join us this March as we share stories of the women responsible for championing, inspiring, and creating monuments and other memorials in Central Park, including the Pulitzer Fountain, Doris C. Freedman Plaza, Wollman Rink, and Bethesda Terrace. This tour will also highlight contemporary efforts by organizations such as She Built NYC and Monumental Women to counteract the lack of female representation in the public landscape by advocating for monuments made for and by women, including Central Park’s newest addition, the Women’s Rights Pioneers.

There are no upcoming dates. Please visit our Things To Do page for a full calendar of events.

Ensuring the health and safety of our guests, staff, and the public is our top priority. Central Park Conservancy programs follow recommended guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, New York State, and New York City.

At this time, the Conservancy does not require visitors to wear masks during the tour. However, all participants should continue to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms and stay home if they feel unwell.

Contact [email protected] if you need to request a raincheck for a future program due to illness or exposure to COVID-19.
