Snow Babies

Snow Babies

Perched on each gatepost at the entrance to Rumsey Playfield are the Snow Babies—two gleeful cast-stone children enjoying the delights of playtime in winter. Sculptor Victor Frisch crafted the figures looking at each other across the entranceway, each sitting on a sled. They first came to Central Park in 1938.
