Staghorn Sumac

The staghorn sumac is native to the northeastern United States and southern Canada. This shrub features green leaves and a deep red, cone-like fruit. Staghorn sumac can grow in a variety of different habitats with full sunlight. Contact with the oils of this plant can cause a rash for many people. The plant exhibits spectacular color in the fall.
